The second time the world nearly ended, the heroes did not try to hide the truth. At the end of the Realignment Period, a stranger from another world slipped into Amaura. He brought warnings of Amaura's approaching doom - word from a god nonetheless. Gathering an ecclectic band of misfits unto himself, Oceanus set out with these Heroes of Amaura to stop the blue dragonborn Rekië from using the Nautilus Pieces to usher in the world's demise.
The term "apocalypse" can mean a cataclysmic destruction; it can also mean an oracular revelation.
On their journey, the Heroes unveiled a conspiracy spear-headed by the Pristine Councilman and Oceanic 8 Hero - Galymbrilis. The High Elf along with the dragonborn Ranokh plotted the world's demise through Rekië - the heir of Isle Pyros - to purge Amaura of every race except the elves and leave the island of Ëidine to ride out the world's demise. He did not succeed, for the Heroes put an end to his machinations at the top of the dragonborn's volcano Gon'Ovolo.
And it was there the true revelation occurred. For the first time in Amauran history, the God of the Sea revealed himself. Of course, the Hero's claims of seeing God has since come under intense scrutiny, but for a time their declaration of having seen the God with their own eyes (combined with the obvious reality that the world was not destroyed) suggested that perhaps the Terra did not understand this God of the Sea as perfectly as they may have once believed. Perhaps he sought not the destruction of His world, but something more.
