In the first recorded age, the Orcs set out from Low Dûrdn, intent on discovering all the sea's mysteries. Having lived their entire lives on the ice shelves at the top of the world, they never expected to find entire continents of lush forest, crippling deserts, and sighing meadows. And they certainly could not have prepared themselves for their encounters with the other races of Amaura.

In the 200 years that followed, many of the other continents and races followed the Orcish example, traversing the globe, charting all of Amaura's territories, and setting up trade routes between nations in a time of excitement and discovery for all races.
